I was wondering if there is anyone out there who can help me out with my English essay. It's on the psychology of Crime and Punishment. I've found some info, but nothing really solid so far. Anyone who can give me any help....that would be great of you!
THANKS! Smiley

hello lilangelwh,

does the topic get any more specific? "The psychology of C&P" is rather general, and there are a ton of things you could write about. Let us in on some more information, and your initial thoughts, and we'll try to help more Smiley.

this is lilangelwh,
truthfully, the paper my teacher handed out to us only said the psychology of c & p. no limit, no specific. its a research paper, so my guess is he wants us to touch on a number of things.  Smiley
like id said before, any help you can give would be much appreciated. so far ive found info on the Oedipus complex, but that only had to deal with Dostoevsky. i need more solid info from the actual book.
THANKS AGAIN!

well, since it is pretty much an open topic, I think it would be intersting to research real people who have comitted crimes (preferably murder) for an "intelectual" cause. I'm sure there are many documented examples of that. You could then compare and contrast Raskolikov to one of these murderers. I guess, something ideal would be available diary or journal of a murderer.

If that doesn't float your boat, maybe you could write a speculation paper about what lead Raskolnikov to commit the crime from the perspective of where and how he lived.
