Well, I've optimized the website code for the search engines and it has steadily rose in the rankings (now in the top 25 on google for 'fyodor dostoevsky').  I've also emailed other Dostoevsky fansites about this site so we can exchange links to build the PageRank.  I'm also hoping 'word of mouth' spreads the news of this website for D fans.  Other than that, there's not much else I can really do right now.  

All the costs of running this website (web hosting, database, personal time etc.) are out of my pocket and on my watch...but it's all worth it!  I've been a fan of Dostoevsky for 10 years now and came to realize there weren't any active/solid websites about Dostoevsky.  So, I got fyodordostoevsky.com and used my web design skills to make it happen.  I do have the Ebookstore here where I get 5% or so of all purchases but I seriously doubt that will cover costs...but that's okay.  I've been very pleased with how this site has turned out and realize that it is not finished - but is continually growing...especially in The Forum.

My vision is to duplicate this site structure for other notable authors such as Dickens, C.S. Lewis, Tolstoy, Austen, etc. under the GreatClassics.com umbrella (which I still have to create).

Tangent note: this forum had 84 posts today!  Wow!  Grin

Yes, Dostoevsky deserves a good website for the English speaking world.

Plus if we get a few women, the guys will become much more polite. Women make everything better.
