The anarchist Emma Goldman talks of Dostoyevsky's 'The Priest and the Devil'.
  I can't find it mentioned by anyone else. It first appeared in Mother Earth in January 1910.
  It also appeared in books;

  Goldman's version was translated later in 1910 by a Japanese guy I'm researching - Oishi Seinosuke.
   
  Do you have any idea where Goldman got her text?

I checked the original Mother Earth version of Goldman's text.

A note is appended at the end:

This story came into my mind while listening to the sermon of the prison chaplain, and I wrote it down on the wall today.
