Now a most critical component of the slavophil movement was the concept that the West validated faith in God from the passage.

Now Khomiakov even more then Kireyevsky saw this as contextual.

Because the passage is related to the Doubting Thomas.

But Thomas is not a villain no. EVERYONE should ask for what Thomas asks for AFTER they have chosen faith.

Now Kireyevsky's conversion to Orthodoxy over Plato can be summed up in this statement.

In the West an abstract rationalist theology, the demonstration of truth by a logical concatenation of concepts, in old Russia striving for truth "by means of the inner elevation of self-consciousness to a warm-hearted wholeness and concertration of the intellect."

A. S. Khomiakov was a war hero. He was very patriotic to old Russia.

Khomiakov follows the line of thinking that the truth of experience is with all of it's components. The five senses, the emotional state, spirit high or low the wholeness of life is truly irreducible.

Khomiakov believed men of the West where (for lack of a better word) "conditioned" to a state where the concreteness of now was denied. Khomiakov saw Hegel's philosophy as the apex of this.

Khomiakov stated that Hegel's continuation of Aristotle and Plato's idealism was Hegel "ascribing the human spirit to abstractions and taking the forumula of a fact to be the cause of the fact."

Hegel wanted to deduce everything from the development of the thought-i.e. from the laws of thinking-forgetting that "a concept is that which is conceived by the conceiving mind," that the object conceived precedes the concept and the conceiving subject transcends it; the laws of thought cannot therefore be taken to be the laws of "spirit as a whole".

Freedom for Khomiakov was "Man is a finite being endowed with rational will and moral freedom. Freedom means the freedom of choice between the love of God and selfishness, in other words, between rightousness and sin."

Sobornost or catholic does not mean, world wide church world wide unity and never did.

To Khomiakov sobornost is to seek reconcilation with people, then with life (ha! as Dostoevsky would say with the devil himself if he too would relent). It is to seek the death/getting passed- of duality/symmetry/(abstration rational thought 2+2=4) and or conflict in all of life. We must compromise ourselves to the Spirit, we must not compromise the Spirit to us. We must change in order to reach the unchangeable.

Society must be organic not violence based.

Organic society is violence based. Heard of Hobbes and the state of war? Heard much of history? Sure was organic, but sure wasn't pretty.

There is no poisoning by the "rational" mind. The rational mind is the pure mind, unyoked from irrational fears, hopes and superstitions. Indeed these are the poisons.

Free and rational inquiry is the harbinger of truth. Philosophy is the staple of free and true inquiry.

The sleep of reason entails the indulgence of the fantastic, the imaginary, the superstitious, the incredible, the would-be revelatory.

One chooses between reason and unreason, philosophy and revelation, rationality and irrationality. To each his own, but choose one must. As with any alternatives, one cannot have both.

  We have to separate two things firstly.The experience of intellectuall analysis,that we can say is the substitute,of faith in god,for the enligthement era and after,which has its roots  on Descartes and the experience of our primordial state,which has its roots on the teachings of Christ,Budha,and presocratics philosopher,(Parmenides,Heraklitos,and many others).

The first experience which is the Cogito ergo sum of Descartes,is rejected,from existentialist,with a very sharp way.Kirgerard states,that( what about trees,and animals that they cant think,it means they dont exist?)and he continues,with the famous quotation,against Cogito ergo sum.(I exist so i exist)which is means is not separation between thought,and not thought,we exist in a whole.

Dostoyevski he is a Master because he manage to give us maybe the most perfect picture,of the complexity,of human beings,and he doesnt,separating,humans between rationals and irrationals.Humans for Dostoyevski,are rational and irrational at the same time.It is not good or bad,in Dostoyevski novels.What we can enjoy,in Dostoyevski books,is the freedom,we earning by just come in contact with his wisdom,and  not falling to mistake to experience life in a dualistic vision,but just experience things as they are.
