Currently reading the Pevear/Volokhonsky translation of War and Peace. Over the years I have made many attempts to read this vast book, but, alas, have always failed. I like the feel of this new translation and I am beginning to believe (if I can get over the endless french passages!) that I am going to conquer it this time around. As I get older I am starting to become very fond of Tolstoy.
