I play guitar to a reasonable standard.  Both electric and acoustic.  Play a mix of Jimi Hendrix, The Smiths, Radiohead, The Killers, Kings of Leon, Modest Mouse, Wilco....anything that rocks really!

Right now Im listening to alot of Hip Hop.  Kanye West, Jay-Z, NWA that sort of thang!

Love all sorts of music and styles.  Variety is indeed the way forward I feel.

I've only really listened to one disc extensively, not sure which one it is...it's the one with 'Ingrid Birdman', 'Christ for President'.......the only track I don't care for on that disc, is the slow one that natalie merchant sings

Ok,guys, before I listen to the songs you gave the links, thought I would post the links to the following songs:

Angels by Within Temptation-very beautiful

Video with clips from Romeo + Juliet and the song Beauty and the Tragedy by Trading Yesterday (I think this is a great vid)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=L_ISFd34PdM

This is a waltz from a Russian movie based on one of Chekhov's stories (my favorite waltz)

http://youtube.com/watch?v=q_S7Yc503Oo

This is a famous song from a Russian rock-opera, Juno and Avos, which is actually based on a true story. The story is about a Russian count Rezanov, who went to California to strengthen the trade between Russia and America and fell in love with the Governor's daughter. But since he was an Orthodox and she was a Catholic, he had to get permission from both the Russian Emperoro and the Pope,so he sailed back to Russia. But he died during his journey to Petersburg. The Governor's daughter,María Concepción Argüello  waited for Rezanov for 35 years and then became a nun.
This is a song, where Rezanov and Maria say goodbye to each other before he leaves back to Russia. It's called "I will never forget you"

glad you liked it...Miss Spector has a very unique, lovely voice

Angels by Within Temptation-very beautiful
that girl has a very nice voice...I especially like the melody when she says "sparkling angel" or "falling angel"

my internet connection sucks and I didn't have the patience to wait for those other videos to load...although I watched the waltz one...makes me want to read the story....what story is that waltz video from(I've got a book of Chekhov stories I've been meaning to read)

Oh,the story isn't a famous one,I believe its translated smthg like "Drama while hunting" (Thats the literal tarnslation). But its quite a rare book. And you should definatelly read the book first because the movie imo does not really portrat the personality of the main character well.

I've got a book of 20 "essential tales of chekhov", translated by Constance Garnett....I picked this copy specifically because it has Ward 6 and I've seen people speak highly of it on this site, although I just haven't gotten around to reading it yet.....that story isn't included, I'll check my local used book store for it this friday(payday Smiley)
