Has anyone been to the Dostoevsky Museum in Petersburg? I'm thinking of going sometime, but I want to make sure it's worth it since it would be the focal point of my trip. Is it a good museum, worth the trip, etc?

I've been thinking about going to St. Petersburg for quite some time with the express purpose of visiting that museum.  If anyone has any impressions on it, please let me know!

I visited the musem last month. If you're a fan, it's definitely worth the trip.  The apartment in which Dostoyevsky wrote the Karamazov Brothers has been recreated to look exactly as he left it - right down to the note left by his daughter on his final cigarette packet ('Papa died today....').  There is also a literary exhibition that covers his life in great detail.  Then it's only a short walk to the Tivkhin cemetery to  see his grave.

I would definitely recommend a visit if you're in S.P.
