Hello All,

I'm currently in a Russian Culture and Literature class and LOVE it, but I need a little assistance. I am writing a 5-7 page paper on Dostoevsky's White Nights. Here's the prompt:

"White Nights offer three differentiated treatments of the imagination, its faculties, and its failings.  Select a passage from the novel that presents these differing views and offer a close reading of how Dostoevsky represents this textually, and what its implications are for the work as a whole."

Does anyone have any suggestions on a certain passage? Or what the different treatments of the imagination might be? Also, have any extra input?

Thanks!
