I also like Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition very much.

And for those times when I don't want to calm down,  Wink Ravel's Bolero just can't be topped.

Very nice choices.  I saw (heard?) Bolero at the Colorado Symphony - it was stunning!

There was a piece that I had found about 8 years ago, all I remember was that it was called "The Joust" and it was unusual because it was written only about 2 years prior to the time that I heard it first, and it featured modern rock instruments, but also used medieval instruments like the crum horn and the sacbut.

I like the 4 season suite, Mozart, Beethoven,  Tchaikovski. Although I must admit I have really not listened to much classical in the past 6 months or so.

My favorite composers are Mozart and Tchaykovsky.I personally like Mozart's Requiem. It just brings all sort of feelings in me and is so sad...

I agree. Tchaikovsky is probably my favorite composer, followed by Mozart, and finally Beethoven.

I love Prokofiev - especially the violin concerts. Also Stravinsky and Shostakovich. The Russian composers are just as marvelous as the writers.

I also discovered a rather fascinating polish (contemporary) composer - Henryk Górecki.
