1  Fyodor Dostoevsky / Off-Topic Discussions / Re:Is Russia really so down nowadays? on: March 19, 2006, 07:03:43 AM
In terms of politics, many people are complaining about Vladimir Putin and some of his more authoritarian policies.

I like Putin. And as far as I know about his policies I think he does a good job. Turkey and Russia have some common problems and I like his solutions. If Russian don't want him I'd like him to be my president Wink (I'm sure he's much better than Tayyip Angry)

I think I know exactly what you are talking about Hungry Year
In Turkey Natasha means Russian prostitute it's so sad (some poeple don't even know that Natasha is a Russian name)
when I heard this name it reminds me some characters from Russian literature but others make ugly jokes like "Natasha yat asaa"
9  Fyodor Dostoevsky / Dostoevsky's Major Works / Re:Who is guilty?!? Who murdered Feodor Pavlovich? on: January 23, 2006, 02:26:40 PM
freud thinks the killer was ivan
and dostoyevsky believes if there's someone who killed his father it was dostoyevsky himself
read freud's article on dostoyevsky and murdering the father

13  Fyodor Dostoevsky / Dostoevsky Students / Re:Female Characters on: December 23, 2005, 04:35:40 PM
I don't think there is a difference with female and male characters. not only in C&P in every book of him. they are all Dostoevskian characters
14  Fyodor Dostoevsky / Dostoevsky In General / Re:source of quotation "The degree of civilization in a society can be judged.. on: November 21, 2005, 08:54:58 AM
I'm not sure but 'notes from the house of the dead' might be the book you are looking for.
15  Fyodor Dostoevsky / Dostoevsky In General / Re:dostoevsky's daily writing schedule on: November 18, 2005, 02:06:05 PM
vay beee!
I can imagine: It's three in the morning, everyone is sleeping accept Dostoyevski. The city is dark and quiet but Dostoyevski's head is full of voice (or maybe screams!) and spooks. All those interesting characters, sick people, criminals, Raskolnikov, Myshkin, Golyatkin... and the others are running to the paper from his brain. It's sooooo cool Shocked
